The Touch Screen Controller TSC-44/RSA-E
(incl. EEPROM) connects touch screens using 4-wire analog resistive technology method with a HOST computer. The connection is made via a RS232 interface.
The TSC-44/RSA-E evaluates the "touched" location reported by the touch screen and passes this on to the computer as a coordinate signal. This signal is then treated by the touch driver software in the same way as that of a computer mouse. If a finger is run over the touch screen, the mouse pointer follows the finger. Light pressure on the screen corresponds to pressing the left mouse button. Sensitivity and other properties can be set via the driver software. |
